Education and Directions:
1985-1992: Graduated engineer (Ing.) at the IAHL in Velp (forestry and nature conservation)
1988: For two years he was an officer and F16 JetFighter-Trainee-Pilot in the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF)
1992-1995: Graduated doctorandus (Drs.) at the University of Nijmegen (Policy-Science)
2005/2007: He is the co-author of the biography about the artist Jan Wittenberg (NL) and with his compagnon Sander Kooistra he is the author of two books about Fake Art trade and Fake Art Valse Kunst and Zelf Kunst Kopen
and is a columnist/writer in the artmagazine 'Origine'

Dancemovements:
1996: Dancer/Performer in Dance-Theaterproduction from the Dancer/Choreografer Mary Overlie (New York)
since 1997- Argentinian Tango dancer and teacher.
In Holland, his first lessons he took were from Hervé Cousin & Marianne Jetten from
Tango Guapo
From 1997 untill 2007 he gave lessons in Tango-school "Flor de Fango" in Arnhem, The Netherlands
In 1998 he set up the tango-school "La Cumparsita" with Lizelot de Stigter in Fabrik Heeder in Krefeld, Germany.
From 1997 he teaches Tango lessons together with Lizelot de Stigter all over Europe. Nowadays he teaches with dancers/teachers/performers Guggi Zuzakova (Switserland) , Andrea Stegmaier (Chile), Jost Budde (Germany) and Frédérique Lapuyade (France).
Ard is the initiator of neotango in many cities in Germany and The Netherlands. He gave neoango-courses in Tanzhaus NRW, Düsseldorf and gives workshops tango and neotango all over Germany and Holland. He teaches tango in Café Ada / Mare e.V. in Wuppertal (Germany) and teaches at his own school in Fabrik Heeder, Krefeld (Germany). He organize since 1998 every Monday Tangosalon Kulisse in Fabrik Heeder, Krefeld and since 2007 every wednesday, together with Frédérique Lapuyade, Tangosalon Valentina in Düsseldorf.

His focus in his dancing and teaching is inspired by the dancer, choreographer and philosopher G.I. Gurdjieff. His tango-teachers and -inspirators are all the people he has danced with. His primary focus in his dance is to connect concept with feeling.
